Wild Waves of Winter

There was some quite unexpected large surf yesterday here on the North Coast of Cornwall. Many of the best surf spots lit up and the gentle offshore winds groomed the large waves, making for some great conditions and a even some barrels for a lucky few.

I didn’t surf as it was really quite big at my local beach, but decided to get behind the lens and take some photo’s of those who were giving it a go…..and plenty of unridden waves too! It may be cold at this time of year here in Cornwall but it’s certainly beautiful!

There’s also a pretty big storm heading our way this weekend, with some huge waves combined with super high tides they’ll definitely be some good storm watching! Here’s a little breakdown of  the forthcoming swell for the weekend ahead… http://surfforecasting.magicseaweed.com/?p=1917
