It’s been a wild few days here in Southern California, and consequently not much surfing action for me. Typically English and used to frequent downpours, the desert dwellers looked on in amazement as I walked along the rain in the beach to get some shots of the storm. It’s funny what a few cm’s of rain can do here in a short space of time – some crazy flooding all over the place, awesome news headlines ( Godzilla El Niño had to be my favourite) and the loss of all driving capability for 3/4 of the population with crashes all along the main routes making getting out and about a complete nightmare!

It’s been pretty cool to see some different seasonal weather here though, and some larger than usual swell to accompany it. I’m excited to see what the rest of this active El Niño season brings!

I’m Australia bound next week for a quick visit to my little bro on the Gold Coast and some warm water sessions! I’ll keep you posted 😉
